The MedPresence Conference Room (MCR 400) is much more than what you’ve come to expect from other surgical training use forms of video. Each conference room is built to maximize user comfort, while allowing for remote attendance in the operating room. Physicians, medical staff, and students gain the knowledge and experience available in the operating room without being physically present. From light quality and angles to the levels of the risers, we’ve put together a system that allows for interaction that approximates the adjustments of the human eye, taking teaching to the next level.

The MedPresence Conference Room features a modular 36-seat classroom/auditorium/conference room setting, complete with all the necessary equipment for accurate and effective medical training. A 16' x 4' Video Wall allows users to see the entire horizontal landscape of the operating room, enabling students to observe surgery from multiple points of view, literally looking through the eyes of the surgeon. Images are captured via surgical scopes and are then transmitted and displayed on high-resolution LCD monitors that are imbedded in the desktop at each learning station (see below).

The MCR 400 allows users to actually feel as if they are physically in the operating room during the surgery. Additional equipment can be added to facilitate in-house medical applications, such as grand rounds, lectures, seminars, web casting, and laboratory work.
