Physician Consultations.
When physicians travel and they need to consult on a patient case, they are able to participate in the surgery in a way that literally puts them in the operating room—“it’s better than being there”. And, all medical intervention that is “under scope,” is made available in real time, providing on-the-spot consultation.

Case Review
Physicians from anywhere in the world can send case history, images and relevant medical data of their patients to be reviewed as part of “daily rounds” by a multi-disciplinary group of physicians. Physicians with the MedPresence Conference Room are now able to support, conduct and participate in rounds at university hospitals, clinics and medical institutions across the globe.

Medical Education
From inside the MedPresence Conference Room or from the MedPresence Mobile Unit, students can observe surgery from a variety of angles and can literally talk to the surgeon during surgery. Multiple screens within the MCR-400 give students the ability to access and reference patient history, physician notations, images, and three-dimensional moving illustrations, giving students the ability to compare them to the images they are seeing from the actual surgery.

Physicians also have the capability to present live surgical cases to international neurological conferences taking place throughout the world.

Product Development
Through the use of these systems, medical technology and development companies will be able to directly observe the use of their technologies in teaching hospitals all over the world, leading to faster and more efficient delivery of technology from the design to the development phase. When connected with the MedPresence suite of products, these companies will also have the unique opportunity to showcase their products to clinical sites around the world.

The first systems deployed are modified/enhanced versions of the patented TeleSuite 400 Series as designed and manufactured by Destiny Conferencing LLC . The MedPresence MCR 400 and MOR 400 systems are life-size video systems that use a 16' x 4' Video Wall display displayed, which makes users feel as if they are sitting across the room from colleagues who may be down the hall, in another city, another state or even another country. Students, physicians, residents and observers have the advantage of being face to face with colleagues, being able to read body language and receiving/giving visual cues with/to colleagues with more accuracy and productivity. Previously, the only way that students were able to be tutored by the surgeons was to be physically in the operating room…now using MedPresence it’s “Better than being there!”

MedPresence systems are backwards compatible with all legacy forms of videoconferencing equipment and adheres to standards protocol. Under an exclusive license from Destiny, MedPresence enhances and makes medical grade each system for specific use in the clinical environment.
